Most of the time I keep my blog posts light and entertaining, but today I have something serious to address.
As you may know, here in Vero Beach, a large portion of our population is well over 65 years of age. That demographic has been changing in the past few years, but as we are not a city with an abundance of career opportunities for young professionals, at least not just yet, most of the people here tend to migrate down our way as they near retirement age.
Those people are often proud, independent and they tend to be used to doing things themselves. The problem with that is this. As people age, often their energy levels get lower. Their ability to do the strenuous bending that housekeeping requires is limited. Sometimes their eye site isn’t the same as it was. The dog doesn’t always get walked and there will be little accidents. Each thing in and of itself is no big deal. But you add all of these things up, and a home keep can pretty messy.
It can also be dangerous. Dirty houses can make you sick. When you are in your late 79’s and 80’s, it is too easy to fall ill and not so easy to get well. I have seen some homes that just break my heart. If a loved one comes home after surgery and the home is not clean and free of germs, the situation becomes even more critical.
At Riverside Cleaning Services we know that for some, funds can be tight when you are on a fixed income, but we can do our very best to work with you and get you, or your loved ones, on a cleaning plan you can afford. Please, if you have a friend or family member who needs our help, give us a call. Don’t let them live in a dirty home that will mak them sick.
